The 5000 GB Gas Board window slotvent has been designed specifically to meet the requirements for BS 5440 Part 2:2009 (specification for the installation of ventilation of gas appliances) which requires permanent supply of combustion air for heat producing appliances.
The external unit is hooded to prevent weather ingress; the internal unit is inverted to deflect air supply upwards.
