The highly accredited Federal Iron Guard cylinder has successfully achieved the TS 007 Kitemark standard to 3 stars, Sold Secure Diamond award and is Secured by Design certified.
All aspects of the Federal Iron Guard UCF cylinder have been designed with high security in mind.
A patented firing pin mechanism engages if the cylinder is snapped, the cam will lock itself down, preventing unauthorised access by rotating the cam. Additional security is also provided with the Trap Pin, if the cylinder is attempted to be picked or bumped, the trap pin will be fired into the plug chamber and lock the plug, preventing access.

The Iron Guard key cylinders are non-handed thanks to the anti-snap feature positioned on both sides, helping to reduce stock holding. In addition, all of the expected anti-bump, pick and drill security elements provide the ultimate in cylinder protection.
A horizontal keyway for the secure dimple cut key provides visual security to ward off intruders, alongside the Kitemark visible on the face of the cylinder.
Key to differ: each cylinder has a different key, up to 50,000 key differs Keyed Alike Pairs: two cylinders supplied with the same key, ideal for double doors. Each pair has a different key Thumb Turn operated: key is used on the external face, on the inside, a knob is used to unlock the cylinder.
Iron Guard Series UCF Technical Information:
PAS 24 is an enhanced security performance test for door assembly requirements, every component used within the door set tested must comply to the relevant British Standard for that component.
PAS 24 includes several security tests, such as:
An example of the intensity of the testing, the mechanical loading tests subjects the door set to 4.5Kn of pressure, the equivalent of approximately 45 times the pressure used to tighten a car wheel nut.
TS 007 is a security standard relating to the door handle and cylinder combination used on a door. To achieve TS 007 status, the combination used must total 3 stars.
A cylinder can achieve either 1 or 3 star classification, where as a door handle can only ever achieve 2 stars.
Therefore, it is possible to achieve 3 star accreditation by combining a 1 star cylinder with a 2 star door handle. Or, just using a 3 star cylinder alongside an unaccredited door handle. See our simple diagram below.
Achieving TS007 is vital in order to pass any door to PAS 24 or achieve Secured by Design.
