The blade is Carbon Steel - material no. 2003, the hardness of the blades is 54 - 57 HRC

Please note: to reduce cost, the manufacturer of the genuine, original Don Carlos knife have changed the handle no longer using the black coating, the blade and construction of the product has not changed merely the colour and finish of the handle - now wooden.
