A high performing friction stay, the Defender Standard achieves enhanced weather sealing by means of an extended enclosed end cap and asymmetric location system for reliable weather sealing to BS 6375-1. The handed 'profiled' vent arm further enhances weather sealing.

Smooth operation is ensured by a patented lipped slider, as well as easy friction adjustment without metal to metal contact.

The Defender has a long and reliable working life tested to 30,000 cycles. A unique patented, robust cam friction device eliminates any risk of friction screw misuse.

Technical Data:

Available in 10"" to 24"" for top hung and 12"" and 16"" for side hung

Available in 13mm or 17mm stack heights

The Defender Standard friction stay is available with a 10 or 12 year guarantee, depending upon the material selection:

Standard ferretic steel to BS EN 10088-2 Grade 1, 4016 offers a 10 year guarantee
Austenitic stainless steel to BS EN 10088-2 Grade 1, 4301 for enhanced corrosion resistance offers a 12 year guarantee (available to order only)
