Strand Antipanic Exit Hardware Warranty

Warrantly as provided by Strand Hardware Limited:

 

All Panic & Emergency Exit devices in the STRAND ANTIPANIC ranges have been tested and conform to EN1125:2008 or EN179:2008, part of which is a cycle test to 200,000 operations.

The manufacturers standard warranty is one year, subject to the product being installed and maintained to the requirements in our “MAINTENANCE LOGBOOK” supplied with each exit device.

This is a return to base carriage paid policy (when circumstances allow we may inspect items on site) and credit will be raised including carriage refund (or replacements provided at our discretion) against items proving to be faulty by reason of manufacture or defective materials, after return and inspection, on condition that:

  • The products have been correctly specified for use on doors/windows in normal building construction.
  • Regular inspection and maintenance has been carried out.
  • Attention has been given to adjustments where necessary to compensate for door/window frame movement.
  • There is no evidence of misuse or abuse of product or door material.

We do not accept liability for any other costs arising from problems with faulty goods and additionally we do not accept liability for any incidental damage caused to other items. I.e. Doors/Windows when the product is being used either correctly or incorrectly and/or during process of rectifying damaged or faulty goods.

This warranty extends to all items supplied and fitted in mainland U.K. only.

Maintenance of EXIT devices

Weekly and Monthly Inspections:
These should be carried out on a regular basis – see details in the “Maintenance Logbook” which should be dated and signed by an authorised person.

Note: When exit devices are fitted in an exposed position or in a building where chemicals, solvents or acids are used, the frequency of maintenance inspections and lubrication should be increased.
