The initial opening of the Egress Easy Clean Extreme friction stay for heavy duty applications by Cotswold, is similar to the standard side hung friction stay. The Extreme Egress Easy Clean friction stay is suitable for use in heavy duty applications. The extreme variant features two reinforced austenitic heavy duty links to add strength. 

The friction stay full opening provides clear egress in excess of 500mm on a 600mm wide vent.

The easy to operate thumb catches allow the vent to slide to the Easy Clean position giving between 100 and 250mm clear opening.

To reset back to Egress only mode, simply close the window, then re-open to go back to the egress position.

When fitted the Cotswold Egress frictions stay complies with the emergency exit egress requirements of Approved Document B of building regulations.

When fitting the friction stay please observe BS8213 Part 1:2004 Code of practice for safety in use and during cleaning of windows.
