Questions & Answers

A great advancement in the fitting of door handles designed to improve the fitting process from fabrication to installation. The patented handle fixing design can be fitted in as little as 8 seconds on site just before completion of fitting the door. This dramatically reduces the risk of damage to door sets during fabrication, transit and fitting to the door.

Backplates and levers are packed separately in the same box allowing the backplates to be fitted during fabrication while keeping the levers safe from damage during transit to site. The levers only need to be removed from their original packaging just before they are fitted to the door with no tools required!

The intelligent design of this system means that the handle is fixed tight for life reducing the need for call backs, saving time and money by not replacing loose levers and damaged handles. This revolutionary system improves the handle fitting process with almost no change for the fabricator or installer.

Installation:

Hoppe suggests that backplates should be screwed into place during fabrication with the M5 screws supplied with the handle, leaving the spindle and levers / pads in their original packaging during transit. On arrival on site, the installer simply needs to push the spindle into one lever, pass the spindle through the lock follower. Then, push the second lever onto the spindle in the correct position. The handle is now fitted securely with no need for grub screws, rivets or other fixings.

A simple tool is supplied to remove the lever if required, insert the tool in the hole on the internal lever, turn the tool through approximately 30º and pull the lever off the spindle.

Handles will be supplied with levers and back plates packed separately to aid the fitting process described. This will be of enormous help to fabricators, virtually eliminating damage to doors or handles during transit, whilst enabling them to stack to doors more efficiently, increasing van loads.
