Lever/Lever action is a very simple means of operating a door lock – when the door is unlocked by the cylinder, depress the lever to release all locking points. Where security is a greater concern on main residential doors, the Secured by Design accredited FUHR 856 Type 3, with 2 hook bolts and two roller cams is recommended. The hooks engage in pressed steel locking keeps – profile related to fit the profile securely, without packers. The Type 3 door lock has also achieved a half hour fire rating on a tested door set.
