The FP200 provides effective protection against fingers being accidentally trapped on the hinge side of the door. Manufactured from strong, fire retardant fabric which is kept under constant tension to ensure the gap between the door and frame is concealed when the door is opened.

The FP200 and FP400 from Strand Hardware Ltd have now been tested at EXOVA to BS8613: 2017 Finger Protection for Pedestrian doors, achieving Class 2 which is the highest level in the UK.

This standard gives a benchmark for professional bodies to refer to and assists manufacturers in designing acknowledged fit-for-purpose products to aid in the prevention of serious injury to fingers by ensuring that Finger Protection devices are rigorously tested, minimising the risk of injury.
