Coronavirus Update - 5th January 2021

Following the further lockdown restrictions that were announced across the UK on Monday 4th January, we would like to reassure you that we remain open and will continue to support your hardware requirements. 

Both our Peterborough and Cumbernauld depots are open for business and we continue to take all necessary health and safety precautions to protect staff and supply. Those who can work from home will continue to do so, and our warehouses are operating to Covid Secure guidelines.

Stock Management & Distribution

I would like to reiterate my previous request to not over order, this will allow us to continue serving our existing customers and maintain our service level to you. We have systems in place to help prevent this and allow us to manage our stock to ensure supply

With this in mind, we are also asking you to work with us and look to revise your ordering schedule and order earlier, if possible. This will allow us to overcome any unforeseen business disruption such as courier delays and the risk of our own staff shortages due to illness.

Our couriers have plans in place to minimise service disruptions, however there may be circumstances beyond our control which could lead to delays. The volatility of volumes in carrier networks and the potential reduction in staff due to COVID-19 are issues which impact all carriers and continue to be out of our control.

Safe Delivery Procedure

As advised by our delivery partners, the following contactless delivery procedure will continue to apply:

  • If our customer refuses to sign for a delivery on a handheld device, the driver will enter their name and enter CV (Coronavirus) in the signature field.
  • The Customer will have the opportunity at this point to confirm any damage or missing parcels. This can not be reported through their Claims Process at a later date.
  • The CV signature will be classed as a successful contactless delivery.
  • Claims will be processed in line with usual terms and conditions of sale.
  • The temporary revised delivery procedure is subject to revision.
