Carl F Groupco is the result of a partnership between two long-established window and door hardware distributors. Beginning in the 1950s, Carl F Groupco has decades of experience as leading distributors, supplying the same high-quality products now as we always have done.

1950s

Groupco begin trading as an architectural ironmonger based in London

1962

We become the UK distributor of FUHR door locks, and we remain one of their biggest customers worldwide.

1988

Groupco Limited is established and begins supplying hardware to the rapidly emerging PVCu fenestration market.

1989

Carl F Petersen Limited is formed later becoming Carl F International

1996

The Cumbernauld depot opens to more efficiently serve the Scottish market

2001

Reversible window gearing is added to an already impressive range of fittings

2006

Carl F direct is acquired and launched as an e-commerce trade tools business

2010

Groupco and Carl F Petersen partner together and form today’s
Carl F Groupco Limited

2016

The SmartSecure brand is launched, specialising in electronic locking and smart access control

2019

Yale door and window hardware is added to our range

2022

Online ordering and account management system, myCFG is launched
