As one of the longest established names in the UK hardware supply sector, Carl F Groupco prides itself on providing a progressive product offer. A number of recent advancements which combine quality and innovation, two key brand values for the distributor, have enhanced and extended the company’s range of window and door fittings.
The major announcement for Carl F Groupco in 2017 was SmartSecure – the high profile electronic door locking and smart access control brand provides strong security and safety features. Comprising state-of-the-art technology, the solution has widespread appeal. Additional confidence is provided as established FUHR multitronic 881 locking technology is at the heart of the solution.
With strong security and safety benefits, the wide ranging appeal of SmartSecure includes housing associations, the growing retirement living sector and care homes. Advantages include the fact that doors are automatically locked on closing, which means that occupants are always secure. With SmartSecure technology, Carl F Groupco is responding to housing association feedback that elderly people can be overly trusting, or may forget to lift a traditional lever handle. The panic/emergency exit function also means that the solution is fail safe and can be fitted to allow egress at any time. The system’s flexibility ensures that all components can be concealed, which reduces the risk of tampering.
A dedicated stand displays the brand and its capabilities at the National Self Build and Renovation Centre (NSBRC) in Swindon. Visitors to the UK’s only permanent venue designed to support the self-build, renovation and home improvement markets can now experience SmartSecure’s advanced electronic door locking and smart access control capabilities first hand.
Ingenious’ Duplex and Professional multipoint door locks were added to Carl F Groupco’s range in 2015. With continued investment from the manufacturer, the locks are now available with either 2 or 4 rollers to provide further compression while high security is achieved by hook locking with the option of shootbolt extensions. And, in a move set to have strong appeal for fabricators, there are no preparatory changes required for any pre-existing users of the door lock when upgrading to the 4 roller version.
Carl F Groupco reports that Ingenious products combine innovative engineering and value for money, two important features of hardware lines offered in the company’s hardware portfolio. The Ingenious Duplex and Professional have both been successfully tested to PAS 24 and Secured by Design requirements, and are covered by a 10 year ‘Fit and Forget’ guarantee.
Other leading manufacturers that feature in Carl F Groupco’s hardware range have also developed lines to the benefit of the distributor’s customers. A Trojan advancement, for example, has resulted in its coloured range of flag and composite door hinges being offered in any RAL shade.
Carl F Groupco has also extended its range of Siegenia hardware with the addition of the TITAN AF, a tilt and turn system newly introduced to the UK market. Key features include the AF concealed axxent 24+ variant, a new design, providing a completely jigless solution for the majority of profiles, with sash load bearing capabilities up to 150kg. The system can easily and economically be upgraded to comply with PAS 24 for security.
With over 5,000 product lines backed by comprehensive technical support, investment in R&D and strong manufacturer partnerships, Carl F Groupco has a well deserved reputation as a leading UK hardware supplier.
